Kalecgos Down! Sunwell Go!
by Silvio at Thu 27 Mar 21:58It's really been quite an enjoyable past few days in the Sunwell, for sure - we've been clawing our eyes out farming Illidan for nearly 6 months. After a minimal amount of work (mostly mastering the trash with some boss attempts) but a very stellar performance by everyone, Kalecgos went down flawlessly with zero deaths, after we unleashed months worth of boredom on his face. We picked up four or five trash epics along the way, not to mention our first three pairs of T6 bracers and some knickers to boot. Stay tuned for Brutallus love shots next!

No news is good news ...sorta!
by Silvio at Tue 29 Jan 10:24It's been a few months since any updates, so this is more of a general post about what we've been up to these days.
Over our first 8 or so Illidan kills we managed to acquire 2 mainhand and 2 offhand Warglaives of Azzinoth (Grats Sinzar / Mojofabulous full sets!) We had been extremely lucky in that regard with over a 50% droprate at the time; of course we havent seen any since, but we're sure they'll drop again.
Lately its been a somewhat repetitive farm of clearing Hyjal and Black Temple over the course of two nights (generally Tuesday and Wednesday), then spending the other 3 raid days of our week running Gruul's Lair for Dragonspine Trophies (only dropped once ever), Zul'Aman for mounts (I think we're up to 10 or 11 bear mounts from timed runs, which is pretty awesome), and the occasional SSC or TK with alts and PVPing thrown in to bide our time. Not ALL of us are bored yet, though, and having nothing new to do is still a pretty nice problem to have while we continue to farm some very sought-after items for our team.
We're all eagerly awaiting the release of some patch notes and PTR action for 2.4 and Sunwell, where we'll hopefully enjoy enough new content to fill out the rest of our raid week until it goes live. Until then, we'll keep on doing what we do. Thanks to all of our Garona guild families and friends for their continued encouragement and support.

Illidan Stormrage Defeated!
by Silvio at Fri 19 Oct 09:49It has been a good week. Tuesday, we started the raid week off with an incredibly solid clear to Illidari Council, our first time having done 7 BT bosses in one night. Having brought some new folks along Wednesday for the council kill, it took a few extra attempts, but we were able to put in close to 3 hours on Illidan practice. Thursday, with a brand new MT and 1 new flame tank, progress was slightly hindered toward the beginning. After a few attempts we came out on top, and the current revision of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade has now been conquered in its entirety. If only our rogues were more flame retardant, the bear might not have killed them on the winning attempt in phase2 (*cough*).
Special thanks to each and every one of our members for one of the best displays of teamwork we've ever had, and for all the recent late nights and tired work-days. Hard work definitely payed off. We'll continue to gear up for the Sunwell, and hopefully see some legendaries in the near future
